Production[]
In July of 1999, rumors about a possible third Geo's World film started. Creator Geo G. wrote a treatment for a 3rd Geo's World feature film at Pixar while at the same time working on production for Geo Meets Rocco. The original script was rejected by the Pixar staff. However, following the success of the film Geo Meets Rocco in 1999, Geo presented a newly revised script to the rest of the Pixar team and they decided to begin production on a 3rd theatrical film once Geo's 2nd Movie was released. It is the first Geo's World film to not be co-produced under Columbia TriStar Feature Animation due to the company closing down. The film was originally planned to be release in 2003 before being pushed back 2 years.
On December 2003, Geo G. found some research that he knew for a 3D version of the movie to be released in Christmas 2005. In January 2004, Geo G was reported on working on a new idea for a 3D re-release of Geo's 1st Movie titled Geo's 1st Movie in 3D but was shelved.
While Geo was working on the film, Robert and Andrew took over Geo's World on its Season 16 and 17 until the Season 17 finale.
On December 24, 2005, Geo returned and started to create more episodes of the series following the film's release.
